“What was your activity in Ehime Pref.?”

I was planning some tour program. At that time, I think young people didn’t have opportunity and places to discuss something each other. Also I tried to asking about Ikata power plant (atomic power plant in Ehime). They just said “you are serious” and didn’t paid any attention. Then I would make a place where we could discuss and I established some groups for discussion. Actually we have discussed with some person who was going to court against power plant. At that same time, I felt that an individual opinions were derived from individual experiences. So I came to think that I would provide more occasions for someone to having experience for changing them mind. Also I knew many impressed people in Ehime so I would make a opportunity and place to inform their activity. I thought this was a chance to let them know the magnetic thing of Ehime itself as well. For example, we had some tour program for discuss or hands-on activity with a firmer who approaches organic cultivation, a manager who runs share-house or a helper for evacuee from Fukushima pref. They all gave me good influence. Local people and my friends supported me. They were interested in my activity and came to understand my opinion. Their support and backup lead to my growing. So I think I can work better and I can get better results than before. My most impressed thing in these my activity is someone said me “Thanks to you, I have changed my mind. I would like to do what I should do the most ” , “My image for farmer has been changed ”.  I am proud of my achievement that I could offer the situation they can have “the experience”.

“What did you work for before coming to Cambodia?”

I worked for Alibaba. Their B-to-B platform is the most biggest and the distribution amount is more than Amazon. The local are bombarded with cheep goods that made in Chine or Korea. I think if I can keep a proper channel for sales, I can supply goods with a fair price for costumer who live some countries which valued proper price and then the local industry and the authorized can survive. I believed Alibaba can give good effect like this. Regional contribution is one of thing I want to do and I thought bigger company can impact more. So I decided to join this company. I proposed improvement plan for our customer and researched for new business as a sales person. My first carrier started in Japan because I would study Japan. But Before started working for Alibaba, I had a plan to go to emerging country for work.

What was the reason for career change, working at Cambodia?

I noticed on Face book that my friend I met Canada succeeded his business in Japan. Also his work influenced society. So I envied his succeeding. This was the reason for my carrier change. At the same time, I told with some people who worked in South East Asia, they all said “we can have discretion for my work” or “we can work as higher position than I thought”. As for me, I desired to work in emerging country for getting more experience and skill-up. Mr. Narumi who representative for my company, his personality let me decided starting working in Cambodia. Some years ago, People couldn’t find proper work that suit his skill because matching infrastructure was not enough in Cambodia. My company established for resolving this situation. I thought My representative’s work was excited because the work can keep balance between social contribution and business, in other words, the work can make a social contribution through business. I myself excited about some people start new company by myself and make a social contribution. So I thought I would work with like that people if I start working. Fortunately, I can work with representative directly. I often feel I have to learn many things from him.

“What is your work now?”

As a recruit company, I engage in job-matching for Japanese job applicant. I realized I have to do least favorite work much than I thought. It’s very hard. But I feel happy to propose jobs for the applicant who hope to be active in Cambodia. I believe they will make a social contribution in the future. Also their contribution will make me feel happy.By the way, I can set up job interview by skype anytime if someone hopes to come to Cambodia. I always ready to hold Ehime-kenjinkai party!
